I’m driving down the street when a car pulls up next to me. The guy in the car beside me is playing some kind of techno or rap music that is so loud I doubt he could hear a horn or a firetruck going down the street. I really wasn’t interested in hearing his music although it seems that he wants everyone to hear his music.

Hazards of parking lots

I was driving through the parking lot this morning to go to breakfast. I was driving through a lane in the parking lot and a Crown Victoria put it in reverse to backup. The guy didn’t even turn around to look to see what is behind him. He just backed up in his giant bumper car. I managed to get around him without incident at the last second. Has this happened to you? What do you think?

On my way to work again and I am at an intersection where two lanes merge. A lady in a van (soccer mom, not that it matters) cuts me off and then turns her signal on to get over. I am not sure if she didn’t see me or if she just didn’t care one way or the other. We were inches apart and she almost slammed into side of my truck. Perhaps looking to the side was too difficult.

What do you think?

On my way to work again, cruising down the street on my way to work this morning and a guy on the side of the street is mowing his grass with a riding lawnmower. All is well except that he is close to the road and the mower is shooting debris into the road. I have mowed grass in the past and I realize that rocks, sticks and other debris may come out of the side of his mower. I veered away from where he was mowing as much as possible, but a rock hit the front of my truck. I lost my mind for a moment and went insane and then I realized that if I stopped I would be late for work so I continued onto work. When I arrived I inspected my truck and everything was fine. Why couldn’t he mow the other direction? Answer: He couldn’t because he wouldn’t get close enough to the fence. Perhaps he could have mowed with the debris blowing into his yard and then used a weed trimmer to get the rest. There’s is an idea. That would have been too much work I suppose.

What do you think? Leave a comment.
