I went to the dentist this morning because I have a broken tooth. They say I need a root canal and a crown. I almost fell over when they quoted me the price of $1080 for the root canal and $1070 for the crown. Then they went on to tell me I needed other work that the periodontist would need to take a look at. I have to pay out of pocket for the procedures because I don’t have dental insurance. I can’t believe that it is that expensive. It has been a while since I have been into to see the dentist. I called my insurance company Aetna to see about adding dental insurance. They said they would get back to me in 24 hours. I will see if I can mitigate some of the financial damages.
