I am in my car in the parking lot when I see a car backing up. The car is more than half way out of his parking spot when 2 people decide to walk behind the vehicle. The vehicle stops quickly to avoid hitting the pedestrians. Why do people walk behind vehicles that are backing up? I understand that the pedestrian has the right of way, but wouldn’t it be safer to wait for the car to backup and get out of the way so that you can get to your destination in one piece?

I am stopped at a corner waiting to make a right hand turn. A pedestrian is walking down the side of the street and he doesn’t even look to the left or right, he just continues to walk right out into the street to cross the street. Meanwhile the sign that has the stop hand is red and he doesn’t even look. Pedestrians have the right of way, but you can be in the right and dead at the same time. I would never even consider just walking out into the street without checking to see what is there. What do you think?
